Custodial Issues at Board Meeting
At the September 27 Jefcoed Board Meeting, the following issues were addressed on behalf of our custodians: square footage issues with the need for additional custodial staff , the need for a Custodial Supervisor to be a voice for custodians at the Central Office, as well as the need for custodial training opportunities. The board listened with open ears and will take the time to consider our requests.

NCLB / PARAPROFESSIONALS SURVEY (10/30/06)
One provision of the NCLB law is that a paraprofessional may not provide any instructional service to a student unless the paraprofessional is working under the direct supervision of a teacher. What this effectively means is that paraprofessionals SHOULD NOT be working as substitute teachers in their regular assignment or in another classroom. -

Classroom Makeover Demolition Change (10/30/06)
Extreme Classroom Makeover Demolition Event date has been changed. Due to an unforseen problem, the media event has been changed from Thursday, November 9 at 4pm to Monday, November 13 at 4pm.
